Featured Ship: Regatta
MS Regatta is an R class cruise ship, owned and operated Oceania Cruises. She was built in 1998 by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in St. Nazaire, France for Renaissance Cruises as R Two. The interiors of the Regatta are decorated in art deco style similar to the ocean liners of the 1920's and 30's with polished dark wood and warm colors. The ship retains most of her interior decor from her days with Renaissance Cruises, although there was a 10 million dollar refit that was done before the ship went into service with Oceania. Upgrades include refurbishment of the deck 9 lido area and smaller changes were carried out in the cabins and restaurants. Oceania cruises seats clients for dining in single seating, and offers several alternative dining options. Canyon Ranch offers spa services on board. Oceania also offers enrichment classes in digital photography and basic computing. more |
Featured Destination: Caribbean-Western
Western Caribbean Cruises often offer more activity and adventure than Eastern Caribbean Cruises. They offer travelers a unique blend of sun and surf, eco-adventures and ancient civilizations (for history buffs!). This area is world reknown for it's magnificent beaches, snorkeling and diving, history and culture, and lush scenery. Most of these cruises are 7 days long, but some lines offer 4 and 5 day cruises. The 7 day cruises usually have two or three days at sea, and then visit three or four of these ports: Cruise Line Private Islands; Jamaica; Key West, Florida; Belize; Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; Honduras and Cancun, Mexico. These cruises are popular for seniors and families with older children and teens who may get a kick out of swimming with the stingrays in Grand Cayman, climbing the Dunns River Falls in Jamaica, or exploring the ancient ruins in Mexico. more |
